The perfume is a more subtle, luxe and modern interpretation of agarwood (also called oud). One that is delightful to wear on any occasion and which offers a sensation of a distinctive gourmand and musky fragrance on a silky smooth skin.

The result of this new creation is the scent of a voyage in search of Australia’s ultimate olfactive treasures, a voyage that is reminiscent of botanist Joseph Banks’ first visit to Australia in 1770. There he discovered exotic botanicals formerly unknown to science, in the same way Goldfield & Banks founder Dimitri Weber has made it his mission to laud Australian native ingredients since he launched his luxury fragrance house in 2016.

A modern day explorer of scent and sensuality, Weber was transfixed when he visited Agarwood plantations in the nation’s tropics. Mesmerised by the complexity of planting techniques and the sustainable methods applied to harvesting and extracting the precious and unique oil, he forged a friendship with the growers in Far North Queensland.

The new Botanical Series by Goldfield & Banks pays tribute to the exceptional purity, idyllic climate and richness of soil that has made Australia a fertile continent like no other. Long renowned as the home of clean beauty trends, Australia is now the new fragrance frontier cultivating locally the world’s most prestigious perfume ingredients in a serene and green environment.
